Woller told investigators she jumped out of the car at a stop sign on the corner of Mill Road and Heldt Street because she was so frightened at how fast Baumann was driving. Woller says Baumann told her she would drive safer, so she got back in. The fatal crash happened just minutes later.
Baumann is charged with seven felonies related to a drunk driving crash that killed two women and injured third. That crash happened June 7, 2012.
Nearly four hours after the crash a blood draw was performed at the hospital to determine Baumann's blood alcohol concentration, which was found to be .157 by the state crime lab. It's nearly two times more than the legal limit for driving.
The defense is trying to prove, Jerrica Woller, not Ashley Baumann was driving. The defense said Woller wiped down parts of the car to destroy evidence.

The prosecution has called experts from the state crime lab, the surviving passenger; Jerrica Woller, and lead investigators to prove Baumann was the driver that night.

A 26 year old Merrill woman is scheduled to be sentenced August 20 after she was convicted of driving drunk and causing a crash that killed two friends.
Baumann sobbed as the verdict was read.

The defense continues to try to prove to a jury that a woman on trial for killing two passengers while drunk driving in June 2012, was in fact, not driving at the time of the crash.
The crash killed Jessica Hartwig, 33, and Misty Glisch, 31. A jury also found Ashley Baumann, 26, guilty of two count homicide with a prohibited alcohol concentration, injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle, injury with a prohibited alcohol concentration, injury by use of a vehicle with a PAC, and reckless driving causing great bodlily harm.

Baumann had been free on bond, however, Tuesday following the convictions, Judge Jay Tlusty revoked bond.
