Speedway got the Winter Series racing off to a great start on Sunday.
The fastest finishers from each main event during Sunday Winter Series racing action at I 76 Speedway:

Many of the drivers are trading places with new buyers, trying out new classes, or testing new cars of their own for next spring racing, but whatever their reasons, they come to race!
Winter series heats up Speedway
600 MINI SPRINTS: 1. ALLAN WARREN, JR., LOVELAND; 2. Austin Pribbenow, Elizabeth; 3. Jeff Gies, Denver; 4. Nick Riggli, Denver; 5. Trudy Clark, Greeley; 6. Joe Halsey, Greeley; 7. Aaron Dutton, Loveland.
DWARFS: 1. JOHN SCHNEIDER, HUDSON; 2. Andy Rodgers, Akron; 3. Danny Rogers, McCook (Neb.); 4. Matt Burkey, Sterling.
There were two classes of mini sprints/micro sprints with Allen Warren Jr. of Loveland taking first in the 600 micro sprints, and Cory Mallo of Cheyenne, Wyo., finishing first in the 250s.
The next Winter Series race will be Dec. 6, so make your plans to be there.
In the modifieds, Cliff Lawson of Arvada took the lead from the first lap and led the main event the entire race for his win. Beau Speicher of Denver pretty much tailed Lawson to finish second and Aaron Monie of Aurora finished third.
George Rabbit of Denver took the sportsmods main with Corey Cox of Littleton finishing second. Alan Phelps came from Cheyenne, Wyo., to finish third.

250 MICRO SPRINTS: 1. CORY MALLO, CHEYENNE (WYO.); 2. Justin Duncan, Lochbuie; 3. Zach Taylor, Green River (Wyo.); 4. Robert DeRouchey, Fort Collins.
After all that, the enduros took to the track and made quick, smooth work of the 100 lap event. Becky Dechant of Denver took her first enduro win ever, with three other drivers finishing on the same lap.
The dwarfs main event was a little short on cars, but that didn seem to bother John Schneider of Hudson, who was happy with his win.
Even with the vast difference in points and payoffs, drivers were still anxious to race and made some long trips from Wyoming, Missouri, Nebraska and all distances in Colorado to join the fun Winter Series racing.
The econos had a great showing of cars and Brad Hill of Flagler took the win. Brandon Williams of Fort Morgan dropped back into the econo class to finish second. Ken Robbins of Brighton was third.
